Venue
Charal (Zernez, Engadin, Swiss Alps). (Google Maps)
The festival location is on 1470 m above sea level in the middle of the Engadin mountains and next to the river Inn. On 37 acres we have enough space for 2 dancefloors and a free camping site. The village Zernez is within 10-15 minutes walking distance and offers top infrastructure like hotels, restaurants, ATM machines and shops.
The nature-loving resort Zernez is both the gateway to the Swiss National Park and the ideal base for exploring the fascinating region of Switzerland bordering Italy and Austria.
The undisputed top attraction here is Switzerland’s only national park, whose 170 square kilometres harbour an exceptional wealth of alpine animal and plant life in a wild and untouched mountain landscape. It is the country’s largest natural reserve – and its most spectacular.

Camping
The festival and campsite open on Thursday, 23th June 2016 at 1 pm. The campsite is inside the festival and is included in the festival ticket. NOTE: the parking area tickets are ONLY in presale available. Space is restricted and can not be reserved!
Parking
Campervans / Caravan / Motorhomes
Campers / Caravan / Motorhomes have to be parked at the camper parking (outside the festival area). It’s a short walk to the festival grounds. Access to the camper parking opens on Thursday, 23th June 2016 at 1 pm, until Monday noon. Tickets for the Campervan / Caravan / Motorhomes parking area costs CHF 20.- per Campervan / Caravan / Motorhomes. The parking tickets are only in the presale available: Buy tickets NOW
Power and water connection at the camper parking is NOT possible.
Car Parking
We recommend the use public transport to the festival.
However, you may come by private cars. Cars have to be parked at the car parking area (outside the festival). It’s a short walk to the festival grounds. Access to the car parking opens on Thursday, 23th June 2016 at 1 pm, until Monday noon. Tickets for the car parking area costs CHF 10.- per Car. The parking tickets are only in the presale available: Buy tickets NOW
! Pitching a tent at the parking area is strictly forbidden. Tents will be removed by the securities!
! Please be aware of the street you need to cross. Accidents have happened in the past.
Greening
“We don’t need to make a big statement about this because it should just be done.”
We’ll just give a brief mention about our “Green Scheme” though, to give you an idea about how we choose to go about keeping the future bright.
Our Burning Mountain website is hosted by a Carbon neutral webhosting company on servers that produce 20% less CO2 than the average server.
We invest some of the benefits from the shuttle into Solar Power Projects.
Our marketing flyers are printed on recycled paper.
We have a very careful waste management plan and there is a team organized to recycle all waste at the event.
The event is run on BioDiesel generators.
LED lighting is used wherever possible.
Customers are allowed to refill their bottles as much as they want, therefore reducing the amount of plastic waste from spring water bought at the bar.
