FLOOTING GROOVES(Peak Records) - Uk Live act
www.myspace.com/flootinggroovesFLOOTING GROOVES is PEARCE VAN DER MERWE, born in Cape Town, South Africa. He has been surrounded by music all his life. After having tried various intruments at a young age including violin, piano and french horn he finally settled on the silver flute, heavily influenced by an encounter with Jethro Tull and the green and meaningful.
Jamming with Sean Strydom(acoustic guitar, electric bass) and his step brother Eliot Short (violinist, vocalist) the acoustic trio INFUSIONS was born. After the last few gigs in Cape Town he left again for Europe where he floated and flooted in places like London, Edinburgh and finally settling for a 2 year course in Music Composition and Technology at the APM school in North Italy. The next stop was Amsterdam and it is here that he came into contact with the Trance scene, after a mindblowing experience at a party in a church in Ruigoord.
Amsterdam is definitely a meeting point and so it its not surprising that one comes across like minded people, in this case Dan Symons and Ajja Leu two musicians just getting into computers and production based in Lausanne, Switzerland. So with Moreno and Gaspard(who had in the meantime founded PEAK RECORDS with Tanya and Ajja) the PEAKING GODDESS COLLECTIVE was born. The Collective played at various parties in and out of Switzerland as an organic live-act playing from chill to downtempo to groove-based psytrance. From here everyone branched into other projects while keeping the Collective alive. Dan branched into dub (DYMONS) and nighttime psy (DRAGONS), Gaspard and Ajja started humourous, psychedelic project YABYUM (AJJA as solo live-act too), Moreno continued as MASTER MARGHERITA doing deep ambient, downtempo grooves and ethno beats.
First liveset for FLOOTING GROOVES was feb.2005 at TWISTED GROOVES in Geneva. His style incorporates ambient, downtempo, chill, funk, groovy psytrance and progressive still using live flute at most gigs. Après avoir joué dans les plus grands festivals, Voov, Ozora, Sonica ou Fullmoon, sorti plusieurs morceaux sur Neurobiotic, Mind Control, 3D Vision ou Dragonfly et produit des remixes pour des groupes célèbres, tels que Jaia, Tranan, Talamasca ou Antix, il est désormais l’un des artistes les plus reconnus et respectés. Ceux qui ont suivi la carrière de Silicon Sound ces dernières années savent sûrement à quoi s’attendre: une musique profonde et mélancolique, une trance puissante et sophistiquée, teintée d’éléments technos et progressifs.

With 12 years of classical conservatory music behind him (playing Ondes Martenot, the ancestor of the synths), he started to listen to electronic music in the early 90’s, and fell in love with psychedelic trance in 1996.
He started mixing in 2000 on vinyl then progressed to cd’s. He joined Analogic Team, a French association promoting trance in France, and Coda Magazine, a French electronic music mag, where he’s in charge of the trance section (reviews, news, and interviews…)
He loves to play full-on morning music, and makes an interesting journey in each one of his dj sets, with a perfect skill.
He also loves to play electro/minimal and Tech house sets under the name Amertume (influences: Stephan Bodzin, Oliver Huntemann,Paul Ritch, Dusty Kid,scratch massive,solead,perc,jamie stevens,romboy,slam,lauhaus,Hermanez,gorge,…)
Known as one of the best French dj’s, he has played a lot in Paris(Glazart,Loco,Batofar,Cabaret Sauvage,OPA,Fleche d'Or,Plaza,Madeleine,Trabendo,Gibus,Divan du Monde,Concorde Atlantique....) in the countryside of France, and in foreign cities like London, Prague,Budapest, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, … and in festivals in Italy(Sonica 2005 & 2006), Hungary(Ozora Festival 2008),France(Arcadia 2009)…. He has played alongside artists and dj’s like Silicon Sound, Triptych, Dimitri DKN, Tikal, Dnox and Beckers , CPU, Stella Nutella, Morlack, L’elf, Roopak, Wizzy Noise,Sub6, Wrecked Machines, Space Cat, Talamasca, Pixel, Infected Mushroom, Tristan, Altom, Antaro, Shane Gobi, Edoardo Nomad, Eskimo, Senix…. and many more.
He has collaborated on 4 tracks with Silicon Sound:
“Departure”, released in July 2005 on the “Sonica “compilation from Neurobiotic Records and licensed in October 2005 to Yellow Sunshine Explosion label.
“Hyperion” released in December 2008 on the Silicon Sound compilation ("Synthetic Chronicles") for Neurobiotic Records and licensed on Yellow Sunshine explosion and Ministry of Sound.

s’orientent plutôt vers la techno et la trance psychédélique, au niveau
production il nous prend généralement à contre-pieds. Pour exemple : son
dernier Album « cinématik Funk » sortie sur le label français Autonome
records, mélangeant trance drum and bass et hip-hop.
Très inspiré par les musiques du monde, il mélange rythme psychédélique, voies et instruments orientaux voir ethnic.
GNAÏA est aussi l'organisateur du festival
ARBOREALIS , dont la 1ere édition a eu lieu cet été 2010, en Ardeche...

Secret Vibes est une formation Electro-acoustique, inspirée de sonorités de divers horizons(entre Musiques Ethniques, lyrique et électro).
Leurs outils de création sont Samplers, Effets spéciaux, percussions, Didgeridoos, Flûtes & Voix aux multiples facettes avec une ouverture artistique volontairement axée sur la danse, la joie, la Fête et l'émotion!!
En live, le groupe collabore avec de nombreux musiciens et performers et offre chaque fois un spectacle plein de fantaisie, pour une musique vivante, accomplie, toute en couleurs !
Il reçoit un accueil unanimement chaleureux, que ce soit sur la scène électronique européenne dont il reste un des groupes phares, ou sur des scènes plus éclectiques.
En 2009,
Secret Vibes a fêté son dixième anniversaire, et pour cette occasion particulière, a sorti le dernier album "Firefly", aux couleurs progressives et "ethno psychédéliques" signé chez le label londonien Aboriginals recordings.
DIRAWONGA
Dirawonga est né en 2009 de la collaboration de Sebastien Marchois et Guillaume Peyronel.
Leur projet Live est une alchimie de musiques Ethno - World, trance, downtempo, progressive, et minimal techno.
Ils utilisent des sons d'instruments traditionnels, comme le didgeridoo, la flute, la guimbarde, le hang drum le tout mixé avec des sonorités electroniques. Le résultat est une musique naturelle et organique où se mêlent sentiment et émotion, emmenée par des rythmiques tribales.
Un voyage original, dansant et atmospherique.
