Psyacoustics is proud to present it's 1st Music & Culture Festival, the collective vision of a group of individuals, passionate about music and art. The Festival is taking place in the beautiful island of Astypalea, from July 9th to July 12th 2010, a total of 4 days and 3 nights.
Offering a diverse line up of music acts, art and entertainment happenings amidst the beautiful scenery and sites the location has to offer, it is expected to draw a multifarious group of locals and visitors.
This festival will be a great opportunity to listen to heart-stopping melodies, get down to funky beats, and to appreciate arts, eats, and entertainment. It will consist of 2 stages offering non-stop music for the duration of 4 days:
The 1st being the main stage and consisting of 44+ international and local artists, with live performances and dj sets, spinning Psychedelic sounds.
The 2nd being the urban stage with 35+ international and local artists, dedicated to the sounds of dub and it's modern derivatives, ranging from roots/dub to digi-dub, dubstep, drum n bass.
Camping area will be allocated freely for all, with rooms to let available optionally, while a certified and eligible catering company will be responsible for all the food served for the duration of the festival. Vegetarian and alternative diets are also taken into consideration - ticket buyers can choose the type of menu they desire upon purchasing their ticket. Other facilities include bars offering alcohol drinks, beverages and water, chai shops for a warm drink in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, healing areas with alternative therapy, massage, etc.
Entrance to the festival will be strictly for ticket holders, ONLY from the pre-paid sales commencing shortly. This is to ensure the best service for all visitors, avoiding traffic jams and long queues at the entrances trying to purchase a ticket.
Since our love of music and dancing is interrelated to our love of nature, we will take every action to ensure that the event will be 100% ecological and it's visitors respect the raw beauty of it's surroundings, leaving the place unspoiled. Further on we decided all promotional or informatory material being handed out in the festival to be printed on recycled paper, while an environmental body with whom we are collaborating will be providing information on how to keep our natural heritage safe, both through our website and printed material in the festival area.
Our intention is creating a space where diverse skills and talent can co-exist, bringing together people of different backgrounds and mindsets, combining the experiences. We are focusing all our energy on this festival to ensure it's success and hope that this is just the beginning, a foundation allowing it to grow and develop for years to come, a retreat where all can enjoy heartfelt music in a friendly & safe environment.
