You might think “Do amazons still exist ?” while you drive by the woods to Sinop, after Cide and İnebolu. Mythology says that the female warriors tribe of amazons have lived in Sinop, named after their goddess queen Sinope. Red spotted salmons are grown in the lake that was formed after river Yemişli was barricaded. Akgöl upland is one of the most preferred locations for botanical researchers with its untouched nature inhabited by ten thousand different kinds of vegetation.
Located 50 kilometers south of Ayancık County, 6 km away from Akgöl lake with 1070 meters of altitude. Its average tubular height is 15 and width is 12 meters.
