Christian Martin''s love affair with electronic music began in 1995, as an early attendee at Southern California''s legendary Moontribe full moon desert parties. After absorbing late 90''s club life in New York, London, and Los Angeles, Christian settled in San Francisco in the spring of 2000. He started playing records in 2002 under the tutelage of his brother, Justin Martin, armed with a stack of Justin''s old vinyl and used Technics 1200''s from Sammy D.
In 2003, inspired by the massive desert soundsystems of old, Christian founded the dirtybird soundsystem. Along with co-founders Justin Martin, Worthy, and Claude VonStroke, dirtybird''s Sunday afternoon BBQ''s have quickly become a Golden Gate Park institution.
2006 saw the release of collaborations with Justin Martin ("The Martin Brothers EP," dirtybird #007) and Claude Vonstroke("Peanut Butter Jelly Time EP," Undefeated Records #1).
Along with Christian''s residency at dirtybird''s monthly club nights in SF and New York, he''s been busy in the studio, polishing multiple remixes and originals coming out on dirtybird & Katabatic records. 2008 looks to be busier than ever for Christian as he helps shape the future of dirtybird''s unique sound.

The Italian producer based in Ghettotown London first released as breaks DJ Madox. His own tracks and remixes earned him a Breakspoll nomination as best breaks producer and remixer of 2007. While the noisier releases kept rolling, he was also working on a quieter, more contemplative sideline under his real name, the Stefano Miele project. Roots music redrawn as low-fi, downbeat tunes.
The real deal now is his alter ego Riva Starr. Drawing on the Brazilian and Latin rhythms of the Miele project and his own roots, Riva Starr plunders the best in nu-rave, batty bass and beeping, burping synth lines to create a dirty, messy dancefloor affair.

In 2003, inspired by the massive desert soundsystems of old, Christian founded the dirtybird soundsystem. Along with co-founders Justin Martin, Worthy, and Claude VonStroke, dirtybird''s Sunday afternoon BBQ''s have quickly become a Golden Gate Park institution.
2006 saw the release of collaborations with Justin Martin ("The Martin Brothers EP," dirtybird #007) and Claude Vonstroke("Peanut Butter Jelly Time EP," Undefeated Records #1).
Along with Christian''s residency at dirtybird''s monthly club nights in SF and New York, he''s been busy in the studio, polishing multiple remixes and originals coming out on dirtybird & Katabatic records. 2008 looks to be busier than ever for Christian as he helps shape the future of dirtybird''s unique sound.

The Italian producer based in Ghettotown London first released as breaks DJ Madox. His own tracks and remixes earned him a Breakspoll nomination as best breaks producer and remixer of 2007. While the noisier releases kept rolling, he was also working on a quieter, more contemplative sideline under his real name, the Stefano Miele project. Roots music redrawn as low-fi, downbeat tunes.
The real deal now is his alter ego Riva Starr. Drawing on the Brazilian and Latin rhythms of the Miele project and his own roots, Riva Starr plunders the best in nu-rave, batty bass and beeping, burping synth lines to create a dirty, messy dancefloor affair.

c'est juste de la grosse artillerie ce festoche avec une forte orientation sur les Outsiders des différentes scènes électro et des line up aux petits oignons... encore raté pour nous cette année mais ça vaut le déplacement c'est sur... surtout quand il y a rade de bière et que le festoche commande de la "warsteiner" pour étancher les DF... les connaisseurs apprécient toujours ce genre d'attention.
