Welcome at Halkidiki!!! A wonderful part of North Greece located 100 km east of Thessaloniki.
According to mythology, Halkidiki was the place were a huge battle took place, opposing Zeus and the other Olympian Gods to the Giants, children of Gaea, Mother Earth and Uranus. Enceladus, the leader of the Giants, was buried alive in Cassandra. Since he sometimes tries to get free from his tomb, he is the source of earthquakes in the whole region.
Halkidiki is consisted by three prongs from which the third one, Athos, is the Vatican’s equivalent for the Orthodox Church in Greece
The prong of Cassandra took its name from Cassandros, the king of Macedonia. Sithonia was named after Sithon, the son of the god of the sea, Poseidon. Athos owes its name to the giant Athos, who threw an enormous rock at Zeus but missed him.
The excavations at the Petralona Cave have proved that human life existed in Chalkidiki even 700,000 years ago. Its oldest inhabitants were the Thracians and the Pelasgoi.
Organized societies, such as Olynthos, Acanthus and the ancient city of Stagira, near Olympiada, flourished in the west and central Chalkidiki around the 4th century BC.
Like the history of Halkidiki, our culture also started thousands of years ago when the whole tribe gathered to listen at their wizard singing stories around the fire with the help of sounds from primitive music organs…
In our days the Tribes are many and the Wizards too!!! Our modern Spiritual Guides are the artists who through their music take us to a mystical quest for mind expansion and cosmic awareness!
You are all invited to honor our ancestors for the heritage they left us and have a unique Xperience for 4 days and 3 nights with sounds from the whole range of psychedelic trance!

- Apres butterfly "fiasco" festival en 2007 et aurora "enorme" a asprovalta en 2008, me revoilou cet ete en grece dans le pays de ma femme! Un oncle nous prete un appart a sarti a 8 km de la teuf ou je pourrai laisser ma moitie et mon ptit garcon pour aller au festoch m'eclater avec les zamis. La region est superbe, vous allez kiffer votre meme mais n'oubliez surtout pas tuba et masque car c'est vraiment le pied de faire de l'apnee la bas...allez hop....up le halkidiki...

pareil pour moi à l'Aurora 2010 aussi ... en tout cas ça n'avait pas l'air de les déranger ! Mdr de les voir continuer leur routines quotidiennes au milieu du cirque.

moi aussi je vais le redire :" GAEA" = que du blabla ... pour ensuite dire arf dsl on annule et... zéro euros remboursés :-(

Par contre je pense bien aller au Halkidiki, j'ai rencontré brièvement Lunarave en oct qui m'avait déjà parlé de ce Festi (@ Luna : absinthe catalane Vs chartreuse ;-)
Je reviens d'Athènes y a qq jours .. A priori pas mal de potentiel pour le Halkidiki.
Donc je mets pas dans le même panier le Halkidiki et le GAEA.... de la même façon, j'espère que les étrangers assimilent pas les orgas françaises au Symbiose !

- Je sais que c'était pareil pour d'autres festivals en Grèce. cette histoire de camping.
Mais depuis que j'me suis fais niquer mes préventes par le GAEA crew je remettrais pas les pieds dans ce pays pour un festi... je l'ai vraiment mauvaise lol.
(Surtout que déplacer mon billet pour rester jusqu'à l'autre festi à Halkidiki me coutait un bras)
(GAEA crew et cette orga n'ont rien à voir, je l'espère ^^ mais si je peux profiter pour leur faire de la mauvaise pub à ces b.t.r.s - LunaRave

Difficilement car le festival change de lieu, donc tout ce que je pourrais raconter ne serait pas forcément valable ce coup-ci...
l'année dernière le principale problème était que les "vacanciers habituels" se sont retrouvé impliqué de force dans l'enceinte du festival...ainsi en pleine après midi, les nenfants fesaient des pâtés de sable, les anciens assis autour d'un oyzo et mamies bronzant sur transat le tout a quelques mètre de 50 kilo de funktion one....(et environ 1300 festivaliers pour cette première édition)
je pense pas qu'ils avait imaginés que se serait non -stop pendant 3 jours
avec pas moins de 60 plaintes de vacancier quand même mais tout c'est arrangé avec une ptite ristourne sur leurs séjour..
juste ça ne se referas pas...
concernant cette édition 2013, je n'ai pas eu encore beaucoup d'info , mais l'équipe a apparemment pris en compte ce genre de soucis pour pousser le festival à 5 jours sur 2 scène... dès j'ai plus d'info je vous tiendrais au courant!!
