Bangkok - Moon Mountain Psy Festival - 26-28 Oct
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A wonderful alternative to the mayhem of Koh Phangan.
Everything is not 100% confirmed, will update.
Date: 26 - 28 October
Location: beautiful lake, 3 hours from Bangkok
Accomodation: Large rafts with little mini houses - sleep upstairs, downstairs, on the hillside
Price: B2000 - includes transport to and from Khao Sarn Road, 2 nights, 3 days on the raft, nonstop quality music
Not included: food and booze. Kitchen and bar open 24 hours for all 3 days.
Music: non-stop psytrance from the minute you climb into the bus in Khao Sarn. Around 10 djs playing - varied styles - morning, dark, goa, full-on (if a certain Russian dj goes - just freaking bloody weird). Most DJs from Bangkok, also from England, Australia, Japan, possibly more as we get nearer the day. Quality decks and good sound system (not brilliant, but good)
Notes: there are toilets, mattresses, a few blankets, a few pillows. You will be a long way from any shops, so stock up on ciggies, rizlas, tea, sweeties, chewing gum, soap, toothpaste etc.
Last few parties have averaged around 80 people - if you aren't comfortable with being stuck on a raft with wasted, weird and wonderful people for 3 days, this is probably not for you.
If you love small outdoor festivals, nature, good psytrance, meeting interesting people from all over the world, seeing a whole different side to thailand, don't mind the fact that its a bit disorganized and don't expect other people to take care of your needs - you'll LOVE this.
We'll be holding (hopefully), one party a month from now until April. Will probably have a New Years do as well, as Green Spirit probably won't be happening. Parties should be happening around full moon.
